Maryland State Police Release Memorial Day DUI Enforcement Statistics
Throughout Memorial Day Weekend, Maryland State Police were focused on DUI enforcement. Memorial Day DUI enforcement statistics include more than 8,400 traffic stops and more than 90 DUI arrests throughout Maryland, including Carroll County and Howard County.

Memorial Day DUI Enforcement Statistics
During Memorial Day Weekend, Maryland State troopers stopped 8,443 vehicles, issued 5,793 traffic citations, 4,831 warnings, and 798 safety equipment repair orders.
The troopers arrested 93 people for driving under the influence.
The Maryland State Police coordinated DUI enforcement along the entire length of I-95 and the roads to and from the beach throughout Maryland.
Memorial Day DUI enforcement statistics also include 16 traffic crashes that may have involved impaired drivers. Unfortunately, one of the accidents involved an alleged drunk driver who struck a Maryland State Police patrol car.
Finally, Maryland State Police investigated three fatal crashes during the Memorial Day Weekend.
