Building a Law Firm Culture ONE THING at a Time
What’s the ONE THING I can do, such that by doing it, everything else will be easier or unnecessary?
That’s the question our firm is asking ourselves this month.
Part of the culture of our firm is to not only provide excellent legal services to our clients but to also provide an environment where our team can grow both personally and professionally.
This month our firm is reading The ONE THING by Gary W. Keller and Jay Papasan.
The ONE THING: Lead Generation
For our team, business development is the ONE THING that leads to new cases. So, how do we generate new leads using the ONE THING?
Our firm can break down business development into three different things:
- Meetings
- Testimonials
- Content
Meetings
Our firm encourages our team to take meetings with new and old referral partners. Prospecting on a daily basis for partners is key. This is probably the ultimate ONE THING. Taking the time to seek out, meet and follow up with referral partners.
Additionally, how do you on a daily basis try to find value to GIVE to your referral partners rather than always DEMANDING something (clients) from them.
Testimonials
Asking for reviews from clients after their case. This helps for a number of reasons. It gives us credibility and helps out for SEO purposes. You must ask. And ask again, until you get the review.
Content
Generating new content for the web is also very helpful. Each blog post should have a video, too. This gives your website a living, breathing type of feel.
Are you a solo practitioner searching for the ONE THING?
We’re looking for solo practitioners that want to join a team and grow their practice.
Are you spending enough time developing your business? Are you being coached on how to grow a law practice?
At Albers & Associates we will encourage, teach and show you how to do this.
Interested in joining our team?
Part of the vision of our firm is to not only provide excellent legal services, but to also help our employees grow personally, professionally and financially. This growth is encouraged in a number of ways.
First, through sales training with The Growth Coach of Greater Baltimore. Law school does nothing to prepare lawyers for the business of law. Every member of our firm, from the legal assistant to the owner, will undergo sales training to learn how to live a richer and fuller life while practicing law.
Second, by giving and showing our employees a path to success. Telling a lawyer they need to generate business is different than showing them how to generate business. Our firm wants you to be successful.
Finally, providing a work environment where everyone understands the ONE Thing that makes the firm successful. Sharing the firm’s goals and vision with its employees.
If you are a solo practitioner with an established practice looking to grow your business, then contact our office to schedule an interview. Email office@rossalbers.com.
