When you are injured by a negligent driver they are responsible for your medical bills.  However, there are a number of ways to have your bills paid.  You might use your PIP insurance, Med-Pay insurance or health insurance.  Or, you could wait to have your bills paid by the at-fault party after your treatment is completed.  Remember, a lot of doctors don’t want to wait to be paid, so you may have to pay for your medical bills upfront and be reimbursed later.

What if these injuries cause problems later in life?

This question gets asked a lot by our clients.  It important that you don’t settle your case until you know that you are completely healed.  Settling your case ends your chances of recovering in the future.  If you believe you have been permanently injured, then you need to have a doctor give you a permanency rating and negotiate that as part of your settlement.
