Types of Powers of Attorneys
There are several types of powers of attorneys.
Power of Attorney

General Power of Attorney
The first type is a general power of attorney. This power of attorney grants general powers to your agent in regards to your finances and assets.
Limited Power of Attorney
The second type is a limited power of attorney. This allows the person granting the authority to restrict the kind of powers the agent has.
Default Power of Attorney
The third type is a Default power of attorney. This power of attorney takes effect immediately. It gives the agent control over your finances and property till you become incapacitated.
Durable Power of Attorney
The fourth type is a durable power of attorney. This Power of attorney takes effect immediately and gives the agent control over your assets even after you become incapacitated.
Spring Power of Attorney
There are two types of durable power of attorneys.
By default, a durable power of attorney will immediately take effect but the second type of durable power of attorney is called a spring power of attorney that takes effect when the person becomes incapacitated.
