Saturday morning collision in Westminster leaves woman dead
An early-morning Saturday morning collision in Westminster Saturday left a woman dead after her vehicle passed into oncoming traffic, according to a news release by Maryland State Police.
Jacquelyn Peck, 52, was driving along Littlestown Pike in the area of John Owings Road in Westminster on Saturday morning. At about 2:30 a.m., her vehicle, which was traveling south, entered the northbound lane and struck a vehicle being driven by the 48-year-old Kenneth Fisher, according to the release.
Peck was transported to Shock Trauma at University of Maryland Medical Center, where she died from injuries she suffered during the crash, according to the release. Fisher was treated on the scene and released with minor injuries.
